About Us

North Yorkshire Outdoor Education Service is owned and operated by North Yorkshire County Council Children's Services Unit.

The Service runs 4 Outdoor Education Centres across the county. Humphrey Head on the west coast near Morecambe Bay, Bewerley Park in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales near Pateley Bridge, Great Fryupdale in the beautiful North York moors National Park and East Barnby on the east coast near Whitby.

With an expert team of staff and a superb range of equipment available to use, North Yorkshire Outdoor Education Service can arrange most courses within the outdoors to your needs, from a day's in-service training for teachers to an expedition sea kayaking round the Norwegian coast and fiords.
