Complete the full Forest Schools Level 3 training programme – 5 days2. Complete days 1-3 and receive a NYC Forest School Leader Accreditation3. Complete days 4 and 5 (Open Bladed Tools and Open Fires and Cooking). \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n\nWhat’s Covered\n\n\n\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Education theory\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Woodland ecology\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Bushcraft (shelters\, knots\, simple tools\, fire lighting and Kelly kettles)\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Safety and management (consents\, permissions\, risk assessments)\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Open Bladed Tools\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					^\n					\n						Open Fires and Cooking\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n\n\n \nOutcomes\n\nUpon completion of this training course all delegates will have the skills required to lead forest school activities in their setting. Delegates wishing to gain the Level 3 Open Award will need to undergo a period of consolidation where they can practice skills learnt during training and prepare their portfolio of evidence.
