A practical course which looks at the management of groups on school trips. These sessions will be based at a range of popular venues used by school groups. The skills gained on this course are transferable to a range of other venues.

The STAGED model of planning
Risk assessing the venue for your group
Understanding the activities on offer at the venue. For example: If Brimham Rocks is used this would include: the geology of the area; geocaching; orienteering and using the venue for other curriculum linked activities
Managing an incident
Outcomes
Delegates will be able to make better use of the selected venue ensuring that each visit links to the curriculum
