When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A pilot in the RAF.
What was your favourite subject in school?
Geography
What is your favourite outdoor activity?
The one that I’m doing at the time, but if I had to choose one it would be climbing or mountain biking.
Are there any outdoor activities that scare you?
I don’t really get scared by outdoor activities, but I do have a healthy respect for the consequences of getting something wrong whilst participating in them. I think this stops me from being reckless.
What is the next skill you would like to learn?
I want to become more proficient at sailing yachts.
Which famous person would you most like to meet?
I would like to have met and climbed with Tom Patey, who was renowned for his charisma and climbing exploits.
Where do you dream of visiting one day?
The Cirque of the Unclimbables in the Nahanni National Park Reserve.
