SUITABILITY

Ideal for individuals who want to lead groups in hill and moorland terrain. You must have at least a year of hillwalking experience, have logged a minimum of 20 Quality Hill Days, and be registered with Mountain Training on the Hill and Moorland Leader scheme.

Hill and Moorland Leader Training 

The Hill and Moorland Leader Training course is the first step towards becoming a qualified hillwalking leader in upland areas of the UK and Ireland. This comprehensive three-day course develops your leadership, navigation, safety, and group management skills in moorland and hill country under summer conditions.

The training focuses on building your technical understanding, personal confidence, and decision-making abilities to support safe and inspiring days out in the hills.
