Day 1: 05 October 2023 | 9:00am - 5:00pm Day2: 06 October 2023 | 9:00am - 5:00pm   The WorkSafe Outdoor First Aid programme is a programme of learning designed to meet with specific criteria of many outdoor organisations including: Mountain Training England (MTE), British Cycling (BC) and other similar organisations that stipulate a minimum criteria of subjects that candidates must cover. WorkSafe Outdoor First Aid is equally suitable for anyone who is involved with outdoor activities of any kind and is particularly suitable for those people working with, supervising or leading groups of people in the outdoors where attendance of emergency services may be delayed. Description The content of the programme also meets with the recommendations for Appointed Persons in the workplace under The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. These regulations are defined in the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (ACOP) document L74. The syllabus for WorkSafe Outdoor First Aid has been derived from criteria laid down by the above organisations and bodies and is also based on best practice from the industry. Day 1: 11 Nov 2023 | 09:00am - 05:00pm Day 2: 12 Nov 2023 | 09:00am - 05:00pm The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking. Before you book onto a Lowland Leader training course, make sure you have done the following: You must be at least 17 years old You must be registered on the scheme You must have recorded a minimum of 10 varied walks in Lowland terrain where the use of a map is required (ideally these will be recorded on DLOG) which can have taken place at any point (pre- or post-registration).   What's Covered Outcomes
